International visitors are asked to check any visa requirements before coming to Ireland. Please note that Ireland is outside the Schengen Area and so non-EU nationals living in other EU countries may need a visa.
Visa applications are made to the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) or via your local Irish Embassy, as appropriate. Most visitors will probably apply for a conference visit visa.
INIS recommends that you prepare your application three months before you travel. Complete applications usually take eight weeks for a decision.
As part of your application, you may need to submit an original letter of invitation to EMBS54. If you need a letter of invitation, please contact us at the earliest possible opportunity. Please note that it could take up to one week for the original to be posted out and reach you. You should also note that a letter of invitation cannot be issued until the appropriate registration fee has been paid.
If you require further details, please do not hesitate to contact us.
